Polestar 3 now available to order in Australia
The long awaited Polestar 3 is now able to be ordered in Australia, with orders for the electric performance SUV opening up today.
In an email sent out to those who had previously registered interest in the Polestar 3, the announcement states that “The Polestar 3 order books are now open in Australia”
With just a $1,000 deposit, Australians are able to customise and configure their ideal Polestar 3 model. Delivery is expected to be at least a year, with the company stating an estimated delivery time of “Starting from first quarter 2024”. Delivery date however is pushed back to third quarter 2024 on inclusion of the ‘Pilot pack with LiDAR’, keep reading to hear more about that.
Polestar 3 Versions and Pricing
The initial Australian offering of the Polestar 3 includes two models or versions to pick from.

Polestar 3 Colours
There are 6 colours to choose from when designing your Polestar 3:
- Magnesium – The included ‘Silver’
- Snow – A clean ‘White’
- Thunder – A stylish ‘Dark Grey’
- Jupiter – A modern ‘Pearl’ with hints of ‘Pink’
- Midnight – A deep ‘Navy Blue’
- Space – A luxurious ‘Black’
Polestar 3 Upgrades
There are 4 ‘main’ upgrades, however two of them are included no matter which model you select.
The two included upgrades are:
- Pilot pack: Features such as Pilot Assist, Park Assist Pilot, a Heads-up Display (HUD), and more.
- Plus pack: An upgrade pack of premium features, such as an Bowers & Wilkins audio system and an upgraded interior.
The two big optional upgrades are:
- Performance pack: Which includes improvements to the chassis and software, wheel upgrades, and other trim or finishing changes.
- Pilot pack with LiDAR: An advanced LiDAR system from Luminar and other benefits. Note that selecting this upgrade will increase the price by $6,000 and push the delivery date back to an estimate of third quarter 2024.
You can also pick from two additional upgrades, 1.3 Megapixel HD LED headlights and clear laminated acoustic rear windows.
Competition
With this new entry to the Australian market, Polestar are competing against the Tesla Model X. Both the Tesla Model X and Polestar 3 are targeting the luxury or performance electric SUV market.
